R2D2 Capable of being printed at multiple scales to fit inside each other seamlessly. Prints in two pieces, one with support originating from the build plate alone. A solid model has been included for printing the smallest version possible. When removing support from its underside, be cautious not to damage its legs, as they can seem fragile but are surprisingly resilient. A 0.3mm z-height of support and conical supports yielded excellent results. The clearance between the head and body changes with scale, but the smaller model bends more due to its thinner design. As a result, the largest version has trouble fitting fully into its slot because it's much stiffer. The smallest R2D2 printed stands approximately 3cm tall, while the largest one measures about 30cm in height, each requiring different print settings based on scale. The girlfriend is eager for an even bigger R2D2, but that demands a significantly larger printer – currently under development.
