r2d2 + arduino
thingiverse
This is a customized version of the R2D2 robot designed to fit inside elements provided by the bq robotics kit, allowing it to move. By now, it can follow a black line, and with an Android app via Bluetooth, it's possible to control remotely to go forward, backward, left, right, turn the head, and play sounds. You can watch its first steps in this video. Since this project was submitted to the "Support-Free Competition," STL archives must be downloaded from myminifactory's website (you need to register, but it's a nice website with good-tested designs ;).) Please do not print the Arduino Holder STL hosted on thingiverse (yes from myminifactory), as it is not the latest version. The Arduino program and Android app will be made public soon (now it's not very smart ;s). Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Witbox Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2-0.1 Infill: 15% Instructions It can be printed at 0.2 mm height and 15% fill, and it's "support-free." The left foot, right foot, and dome are recommended to print at 0.1 mm height. The colors can be white for outside parts, grey for the dome, blue for the lens, and inside parts corresponding to the color of robotics kit boxes. It needs to buy an interruptor, a female power jack, and an L-type male power jack (the Arduino fits too much ;s). For assembly, it needs: 27 M3 nuts 10 M3x10 bolts 11 M3x25 bolts 6 M3x40 bolts The software version, along with all sources, STLs... can be downloaded from github [0] [0] https://github.com/j0s3b4/r2d2hs
