A R2 dome project has been in progress for students at Idaho State University's robotics program. The Autocad 2013 file contains all parts needed for functionality with servo footprints of HS-81 and HS-322HD. After printing, I'm currently working on controls. For more information about the whole project, visit ISU Robotics at https://sites.google.com/a/isu.edu/rcet-projects/. I printed it on a Dimension 1200es and cut into quarters, each piece taking approximately 51 hours to print with 25-30 cu in of model material and support. The dome is solid, so it can be customized as desired. Mounting holes use 4-40 bolts, nylon preferred, with lengths of 3/8" and 1". A 17-5/16" lazy susan from Woodcraft.com was utilized, while McMaster part number 9654K31 provides the springs for the doors (length: 3/8").
