R2 D2

I was searching for a straightforward R2-D2 model that I could simply slice and print, but unfortunately, I couldn't find one. So, I remixed this from the closest model I could locate (see the "Remixed From" section), making the following changes: * Reinforced connections to the feet, which were prone to breaking when removing from the print bed. * Connected the legs directly to the body as a single piece, eliminating a gap. While this part isn't 100% movie accurate, it will result in better prints. I also filled in the body, which was previously hollow, and found that slicers perform more effectively with solid pieces of work. Additionally, I added some details missing from the front of the body. Furthermore, I scaled the model up to 150mm as the default size, allowing for more detail to be visible by default. Keep in mind that you can't pose the print: the legs don't pivot and you can't remove or retract the center foot. You're also limited to a size that fits on your printer bed. However, you can load this model directly into your slicer, and get a print back that doesn't require assembly or gluing. I do recommend printing with a raft and supports because of the top dome, which will look better with finer layer heights, just like any rounded surface. Dimensions: W: 104.14mm D: 93.36mm H: 150mm Made with MS 3D Builder and Autodesk Meshmixer. R2-D2 is a trademark of Lucasfilm Ltd.
