R1.5 slot track curve and borders are designed to fit perfectly with Scalextric. A 5 degree camber is incorporated, along with an outer support wall built right in. Kerb tiles are printed separately to allow for a variety of colors. "R1.5" marks the midpoint between R1 and R2 Scalextric radii. I've successfully printed the curve on edge using my Creality CR-10 3d printer. The print measures 251mm high, with a layer height of 0.45mm and width of 0.45mm. I'm utilizing an E3D Lite 6 extruder with a 0.6mm tip and slicing the design on Cura. PLA plastic is my material of choice. All parts are designed to print without additional support, except for "clip." The curve itself can be printed without support if it's printed on edge. One file has "w toes" at the end; that's the one I use. The toes ensure the ends stay on the bed and get cut off after printing is complete. Post-processing steps include: - Cleaning up the track piece - Attaching two clips with PLA welding - Sanding the track smooth next to slots using a sanding wheel glued to sandpaper - Attaching adhesive-backed copper foil to act as rails for electricity, continuing it under the track - Attaching adhesive-backed copper foil to "connectors" - Painting the border area if desired (beige in the photo) - Interweaving colored kerb prints (red and white in photos) into channels using glue 19th July 2019 Curved transitions have been added.
