[18/10/2017] Use this update instead of mine! https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2578176 [25/08/2017] Romaker will soon change the X axis for GT2 belt in beta testing, making this remix no longer useful. You can buy an 800mm lead screw from Aliexpress in China around 13€. I chose "lead 8mm" to match the speed of the Y axis. Now I can move at up to 10800mm/min (180mm/s) on both axes! The X motor is no longer overheating. Print it, use your drill and some 608 bearings to push the nut into the piece if it's too small. Melt the plastic to make it fit. Grind a small piece off the brass bolt as shown in the picture. Take four M3x30 screws (you can use M3x40 and bolts instead) and screw them directly into the plastic. Remember to change your firmware settings: 400 steps per unit for a 16microsteps stepper. In Marlin, I set these settings. Adjust as needed (warning: I'm using ACME lead 2mm with 32 microsteps in Z): DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT {400,240,3200,200} DEFAULT_MAX_FEEDRATE {180, 180, 5, 25} DEFAULT_MAX_ACCELERATION {100,100,20,800} DEFAULT_ACCELERATION 100 DEFAULT_TRAVEL_ACCELERATION 100 DEFAULT_XYJERK 5.0 DEFAULT_ZJERK 0.4
