R/C Helicopter Rear Rotor Blade

R/C Helicopter Rear Rotor Blade

As soon as my friend found out I had a new 3D printer, he started looking for things for me to print for him right away. His R/C helicopter was in trouble because the rear rotor blade was broken, so I offered to give it a try. The copter is just a basic toy without any fancy features or a specific name or model except "Tough-Copter". I printed this twice to get it perfect. The first time, I used a raft and supports with the blade standing upright as usual. However, getting rid of the support material from the bottom of the blades was extremely difficult and messy on such a thin part. Next, I printed it again with a brim instead and supports, but this time I turned the blade 90° to its side. This added extra support just to the underside of the middle cylinder and the mounting points for the blades. That seems to be the best orientation for printing.
