R-7 - Soviet Rocket
thingiverse
This is a model directly inspired by the R-7, the rocket that successfully launched the groundbreaking Sputnik satellite into space. Descendants of this remarkable rocket continue to play a crucial role in transporting people and vital supplies to the International Space Station, while its numerous other uses speak to its versatility. Conversely, this achievement also marked a dark milestone - it was the world's first ICBM. The model is deliberately crafted for spiral printing. The high-resolution STL file offers the freedom to zoom in as needed! A minor upgrade has been implemented: an additional STL file featuring a representation of the engines has been added. Simply print this new model 'conventionally' (without spiral mode) and secure it to the underside of the primary model using glue. Both parts have been integrated into the updated scad file.
