QXZ Bowden Extruder

QXZ Bowden Extruder

thingiverse

This is the bowden extruder I designed for my CoreXZ printer, also known as QuorXZ. The necessary SCAD files are included if you want to make any modifications. It's designed to be mounted directly onto a Nema 17 motor using either 6mm or 10mm MDF, or attached to the motor with one or both of the provided 5mm spacers. Check out the instructions for all the necessary parts to build. 8-29-15: I added a thumb-screw tension adjuster and modified the lever slightly to fit better around it. 9-1-15: The thumb-screw adjuster was modified. 9-3-15: A tabbed spacer with M5 mounting holes was added. 9-15-15: An untested printed barrel with a nut insert was added. 9-16-15: The printed barrel with a nut insert was modified. Note that as I continue to make changes, the older files will be replaced with newer ones. This is the latest version of the extruder design. Watch it in action on my CoreXZ printer in the video below.
