QX95 / QX90 Camera mount and shield
thingiverse
I designed a protective casing for my QX95 camera, which was originally secured to the PCB using rubber bands and exposed circuitry. This setup left the camera vulnerable to damage after each crash. After experimenting with numerous designs, I returned to my fourth concept, which required some modification and sanding after printing. The shield's wall thickness is minimal due to space constraints, measuring 0.5mm or 0.6mm. Once printed, you must remove excess material around the antenna slit before creating two holes on either side of the shield for the PCBs. Insert a small zip-tie through these holes and wrap it around the quad to secure the VTX. So far, this design has withstood crashes without sustaining damage. Print Settings: * Printer Brand: MakerBot * Printer Model: MakerBot Replicator 2 * Rafts: Yes * Supports: No * Resolution: High * Infill Percentage: 75% Notes: Print the camera hole facing downwards on the build plate. This quick print should take less than 10 minutes to complete.
