QX90 MINI WHOOP QUAD V2

Update 4/10/2017 Updated the frame once again. Weights are about the same, but is a lot more crash resistant now. Update 3/5/2017 I have updated the frame to account for varying shaft lengths in the 8520 motors. I found there are two basic lengths, so this design allows the motor to be raised or lowered as needed. I also added a new camera mount for this camera: http://us.banggood.com/Wholesale-Warehouse-Eachine-AIO-5_8G-40CH-25MW-VTX-800TVL-13-Cmos-FPV-Camera-Upgraded-for-QX90-QX95-Racing-Quadcopter-wp-Usa-1086282.html?rmmds=myorder This camera has a picture far superior to the stock cam that came with my QX90. I am also using this flight controller which has an integrated RX, but this frame will support most micro controllers: http://us.banggood.com/Wholesale-Warehouse-Eachine-FRF3_EVO-Brushed-Flight-Control-Board-Built-in-FRSKY-Compatible-SBUS-8CH-Receiver-wp-Usa-1091779.html?rmmds=myorder These are the motors I have been using: http://www.banggood.com/Eachine-Tiny-QX90-Micro-FPV-Racing-Quadcopter-Spare-Parts-8_5x20mm-Coreless-Motor-p-1079157.html?rmmds=myorder This is the V2 version of the original I created: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2071183 Here's a video I made this morning: https://youtu.be/HY3A0PO7R4A (also known as 'how to annoy your wife') Major improvements are that it is a little lighter (.5g); a little stronger and allows access to the USB port while mounted. This model is a modified version of osliang's quad which can be found here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1700311 I couldn't have started this project without that original project. I moved the camera further forward and the frame is lighter at just under 10g (without cam mount & tray). All loaded up with battery and stock QX90 parts (as in the photos) its just under 58g which is heavier than the original QX90 (which weighs I think 54g). It seems to fly really well. I included the Solidworks design files. If you make changes, let me know. I might want to add those to my model. This has been designed for the 8.5mm motors. I printed this in ABS with 30% fill (fill is barely used) except the VTX guard which I printed at 0% fill so it's hollow and lighter. Also, it WILL require supports to print. Good luck.
