Q23 Monitor Stand from Remix This is a custom Monitor Stand I created by modifying http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2050885. I converted the STL file from that website into a CAD file, cut off the top, and designed a modification to accept a monitor insert. I scored an amazing deal on a MONDO CHEAP monitor on Ebay without a stand. NO WORRIES for a skilled MAKER! The monitor is a HP 2011x and the mounting plate is stamped WF H37G0020-1 A4. WANNA MAKE ONE? There's a good chance you won't need THIS specific stand. If you think your monitor is a close fit, try chopping it off the top in a design program and print it out on its own before printing the whole thing! Another option is to create a mock-up piece that fits your monitor well, fill the pocket in mine, and then perform a Boolean operation with your mock-up! I'm uploading a STEP file so you can import it into most standard CAD programs. I worked on my original design using Autodesk's FUSION 360, including STL import, export, and STEP conversion and export. The slot for the Monitor Tongue goes all the way through to the bottom of the cavity for easier support removal. I left the "MAKERBOT" stamp from the original model in place. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to remove that from a Remix or if I should have taken it out to prevent the appearance of an endorsement of my work! I'm confident they'll clarify this! This was sliced and coded using ReplicatorG with 2 shells (3 total) using PLA. - FlashForge Creator Pro (Similar to Makerbot Replicator 2) - Heated Bed at 45 Celsius - Blue Painters Tape on bed, no further treatment - Print Temperature at 220 degrees Celsius - SUPPORTS ARE REQUIRED to help build the Monitor Tongue Cavity! - Feedrate of 40 mm/s - Travel Feedrate of 55 (If anyone has more optimum feedrates, please share!)
