Quolls, native to mainland Australia, New Guinea and Tasmania, are carnivorous marsupials that thrive in the night. By day, they retreat to a den, where they spend most of their time. Out of six species, four call Australia home, while two inhabit New Guinea. Sadly, Eastern and Northern Quoll are listed as endangered species, according to Renee Dixson's research in the Skullbook - Digital Bone Library.
