Quodd Heroes Box Insert with removable trays
thingiverse
This is a game insert for Quodd Heroes, a fantastic board game that needs some organization due to its numerous components. This insert is designed to stack neatly inside the box. The main goals of this design were to make it sturdy, easy to retrieve and replace components, and have as little stacking as possible. **Files to Print** Firstly, when you see letters like a, b, c, etc., that means they are split up parts. If your printer bed is large enough, you can ignore these split parts. You will need to print the following files: * Base1 (version 2) * Base 2 (version 3) (if split: use base2a-v2 and base2b-v3) * Hero cube tray (v2) * Hero token (v2) * Bomb insert (v2) * Secret token tray * Scenario tray * Scenario riser (just adds a slight lift to the scenario tray) * Every game insert * Walls * Springs * Teleporters * Tunnels * Rally **If You Have the Expansion** Swap out Base 1 for U-base1 (v2) * U-sheep tray (v2) * U-Underground tray (v2) **Note: There are some large cross-sections. I have my print settings set to 10% infill.** The Hero cube tray lifts via a handle, revealing the Hero skill tokens below (listed alphabetically). The token tray used in every game removes easily and subdivides so that different tokens can be passed around the table. The scenario tokens are used less frequently, so the tray sits at the bottom of the box. The walls have a light ribbed texture towards the top and ribs along the sides aid in removing and reinserting the tray. Moving platforms are organized by height. The 1x1 tokens stack near them. The 3x3 platform sets on the side of the insert. The removable secret tokens tray is located below the removable bomb tray. Dice are stored below the player 1 token. For smaller build areas, Base1 and Base2 are split into two halves that can slide together snugly. **Edit: 5-3-19** A missing Walls token file has been added. A split version of the Hero token insert and the Hero token tray have been added, featuring alignment features. You should be able to use superglue like Loctite (with a 30-60 second work time) to align and secure them. **Edit: 5-8-19** The bomb tray has had its clearance increased (**bomb-insert-v1-clearance-fix.stl**). If you've already printed Base2, please use this file. If you haven't printed Base 2 yet or if you prefer the standard thicker walls then download v2 of **Base2** and **bomb-insert**. **Edit: 5-12-19** An alternative Base1 file has been uploaded, containing room for Underground Expansion tokens and a removable tray to contain it all. Sheep have been relocated above the Crystals. The 10 Underground cards fit in the Base2 version 2 "Other" section. **Edit: 5-16-19** A small flaw was found in that the height of the Hero boards was mismeasured... The previous versions will still work fine, but for those who want everything to sit flush, the affected files have been updated. You will now find version 2 of Hero cube (a, b, c), hero token (a, b), base 1 (a, b), base 1 alternate for Underground Expansion (a, b), and a new scenario riser to put under the scenario tokens. There was also a request to increase the clearance around the moving platforms. Base 2 and base 2b have been updated to version 3 for that extra clearance. There was also a request for a version of the Hero cube tray to contain the Hero tokens beneath it instead of removing the full tray. I've uploaded that version as well. **Edit: 6-7-19** Sorry for the delay! (Got severely sick...) I just uploaded the Sleeve friendly version of Base2a (base2a-sleeve-v2). Hopefully, it fits your sleeves. I know there are a lot of different kinds out there. I had to remove the first player token and dice holder area to accommodate the space required for the thicker decks. I know a lot of players also have the dice bag so I'm going to just call it case closed on where to put the dice and tokens. They should fit in the bag on top with the instruction manual.
