Quirigua Stela K Annotated VR Experience
sketchfab
Carved stone monument from the UNESCO World Heritage site of Quirigua, a Maya site located in Guatemala's Department of Izabal. Collaborating closely with Guatemalan archaeologists and site administrators, our team of heritage experts and 3D specialists are meticulously recording stela and carvings as well as terrain and site landscape details. The project is proudly attributed to the Dirección General del Patrimonio Cultural y Natural del Ministerio de Cultura y Deportes, and the Quiriguá Archaeological Park and Ruins. For a comprehensive overview of this fascinating subject, see Matthew Looper's "Quirigua: A Guide to an Ancient Maya City," published in 2007. To learn more about our ongoing project, visit [https://dhhc.lib.usf.edu/project/the-quirigua-3d-project/]. We are honored to be working alongside Oswaldo Gomez, the skilled Administrador at Parque Arqueológico Quiriguá.
