Quimbaya 360 based spheric photo head

thingiverse

This is a 3D printable modification of Mario Carvajal's original Quimbaya 360 panoramic photo head. You can find his work at http://www.mariocarvajal.com, http://www.fotografia360.org, or https://www.kamaradas.com. The printing was done in ABS with a 100% infill to make it suitable for use with heavy cameras. PLA may also be used, but the main parts are 8mm thick. The STL files are ready to print; just add supports on the wheels where the knots go and at the bottom of part C. ABS tends to warp while printing, so check the FreeCAD files if you notice any irregular parts. Refer to the photos to see how a quick-release mount for the camera was added. The instructions for assembly can be found here: http://www.mariocarvajal.com/construccion-de-rotula-panoramica-casera-diy-panoramic-head/. The screw holding part B and C can be an elliptical plastic head or a bike quick-release screw like those on the tires or seat. It took about 30 hours to print everything using the settings described. If you need more information, send me a message. I hope you enjoy it. Print Settings: Printer: Prusa I3 customized BQ Hephestos Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 100 Notes: Printed with Prusa I3 customized BQ Hephestos variant.
