Quilting Templates - Feather Crown Circle, Seam Guide, Arcs

These are SVG files suitable for making laser cut acrylic templates for quilting. 1/4" seam guide, small and very large feather circles / crowns, along with two arc tools. The 3" arc tool actually has a 2.5" arc on the top, 3" arc guide lines, and 3.5" arch on the bottom, as you need to use it with a 1/2" round foot on a sewing machine, so when you trace around the 2.5" outside arc you get a 3" circle, and you also get a 3" circle when you trace around the inside 3.5" arc. The 3" arc's inside are just etched in every 1/4" for seam allowances. The Handi Versitool guide is actually just the outside cutout that mostly matches the handi versitool such that you can cut a jig out of cardboard, and then cut/etch the arc guide lines onto the (back) of the Handi Versitool. [For some reason, it didn't come with them by default...] Note that the handi versitol has DIFFERENT arc sizes on the bottom and top (4" on the top, 5.5" on the bottom. Also note that you should etch/cut the top lines with the top aligned to the jig, and the bottom lines with the bottom aligned to the jig as I made the jig just slightly too tall. You could also just cut the whole shape out of acrylic, but then you wouldn't get all of the other cutouts on the handi versitool. For all of these, many of the guide lines are set up as vectors, so that you can "cut" the guide lines with a single pass of the laser cutter. I've found that using full speed / full power works well to cut in a guide line (which goes MUCH faster than trying to etch thin lines with a raster scan...) BUT, do pay attention to the different groupings of lines to make sure you are only cutting out along the outside. (Or the inside circle of the feather crown templates...)
