Quill Style MFT Locking Peg / Bench Dog
prusaprinters

Introduction

This is a MFT style (20mm) bench dog that tightens as you turn the M5 bolt (using a hex key) on the top of the dog.

This allows you to attach jigs and fixtures that use the 20mm standard and lock them to the MFT table. I'm using it because the metal ones are very expensive and they are overkill for my mounting requirements.

I've been able to securely attach jigs with a 18mm thickness to the MFT table (which also has a 18mm thickness) - it might not lock very well if you are joining thinner surfaces.

Bill of Materials

Each bench dog requires a M5 x 65 socket head bolt (McMaster-Carr) and a 5mm nut (McMaster-Carr) which is press fit into the lower quill body.

Printing Notes

I printed these in PLA with 15% infill, 0.20mm, default number of perimeters, etc
