Quill Burst - Functional Monster Hunter Generations prop

This is my design for the Monster Hunter contest hosted by MyMiniFactory in collaboration with Raise3D and Capcom. This is my version of Quill Burst, one of the most powerful weapons available in Monster Hunter Generations. The videogame's weapon is approximately 2 meters long. I decided to create my own version, keeping the same shape but on a real-world scale. The best thing about this design is that it's a fully functional prop! I've made a video explaining how I designed, adapted it to 3D printing and assembled it. You can check it out here: https://goo.gl/7TLb2E I worked hard on this design, trying to make it as easy to print as possible, and these are some of the features: 1. No support material needed. None of the parts need any extra help to print. 2. Filament optimization. During the design process, I made all the parts strong and resistant to avoid weak points. I used less than 10% infill during printing and a low layer height. 3. Only 3D printed parts. You don't need any screws or extra parts that aren't 3D printed. This means you can scale the design to any size you want, and you won't have to make any changes. The assembly process will be just as easy. 4. Easy assembly. If you check the video, you'll see that the prop can be assembled in less than 5 minutes. I only used two drops of glue and some blue tape during assembly. 5. It's fully functional! You just need an elastic band to make it work. In the video, I show how the prop works with a rubber band. You can even resize the model to shoot ping pong balls!
