Quickswap carriage (narrow version for Anet A8/AM8)
thingiverse
I loved the original design's principle, but had major issues with the DB connector (pins get easily bent in the DB26HD connector), making me think it was a bit too wide. So I created this to fit my Anet A8 - and plan to connect things electrically via GX16 aviation connectors. The baseplate is designed for the bearing holder at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3102222, as I had some problems with IGUS DryLin bearings (which were solved with that bearing block). A version B of the baseplate will be added, where there are mounting holes for 2 regular SC8UU blocks on the top X-rod. The Pitan Direct Drive carriage is made for a mirrored version of the Pitan Extruder (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2728600). STL files for the E3Dv6 bowden aren't quite ready yet - but will be added soon. The holes for the nuts for the belt holder might seem a bit small - but I found, that I had to reduce the size when using nylock nuts (as they apparently are a bit smaller than the ordinary nuts). 20180929 - Beltholder v2 is added - this one works for me on X idlers with 45mm center distance. Also found first test print to be a tiny bit loose in the tightening mechanism - and is currently printing a new version, which hopefully will fit better.
