Update with corrected wing root chord. Also, some cockpit structure is added. The cowl is still shaped for a UL260i engine.I used to think that the Quickie design was just a novelty. It is not. The concept is extremely clever. All loads are concentrated in the cockpit 'tub'. The engine and occupants are close together, and closely supported by the wing and canard. All the load paths are very short. The tail cone has low loads.... just the tailwheel forces and the rudder forces. It is a very clever design.
