Work In Progress - This is an early release to allow feedback. Spool holder designed around an unreleased design for a universal core to the Spannerhands Enclosed Spool holder. The spindle and nuts hold the spool upright and centered while the caps on the bearings allow for a quick and easy swap of spools in and out of the spool holder uprights. There are two different designs for the spindle portion. A) Print 2 Bearing Caps and use 608 bearings for fast free rotation of spindle. B) Print 2 Printed Caps and the 8mm Replacement Rod for slower rotation with some drag/friction/pre-load. There are currently five mount options: a) 40mm Extrusion (like on the Formbot T-Rex 2+) uses an M4 hammer/T-nut and screw to secure to extrusion. b) 30mm Extrusion uses an M4 hammer/T-nut and screw to secure to extrusion. c) 20mm Extrusion (like on the Ender 3) uses an M4 hammer/T-nut and screw to secure to extrusion. d) Prusa i3 MK2/MK3 frame mount uses a trapped M4 nut and screw to tighten to frame. e) Zortrax frame mount intended to rest on top of 3.5mm (or less) of overhanging metal, uses a trapped M4 nut and screw to tighten to frame.
