Quick Spool roller hack

An easy-to-use spool holder is designed with a 3-inch flat roller bearing, which can be sourced for around $1.50 from Allelectronics.com. The bearing, a thrust bearing from all electronics, fits perfectly on a cookie tin lid that holds a 1kg spool. The two-part design of the bearing makes it simple to swap out spools by changing lids. Secure the bearing at the center of the cookie tin lid with double-sided tape for stability.
