Quick Setup Drill Depth Guide (no tools required)

I did not use drill depth guide before and sometime I regretted it. Now there is no excuse, as I always have them with my drill bits.

Design Features:

Quick to setup. Just set the distance between the stopper and drill tip. Then wedge the collet in place with the appropriate size sleeve. Simple, no tool required.

No Wobble. The symmetric design means weight are evenly distributed around the drill bit. Unlike other design that is held in place with metal nut and bolt, where wobble can occur on smaller drill bits.

It's strange that we use metric in this country, but they were selling this set of imperial bits in the local hardware store and I bought it without noticing it.

The collet is designed to be a bit springy, so you can use which ever one fit the bit you are using. For example, here is what I uses:

Collet+Sleeve Bits

2+2 1/16"(1.59mm) 5/64"(1.98mm)

3+3 3/32(2.18mm) 7/64(2.78mm)

4+4 1/8(3.18mm) 9/64(3.58mm) 5/32(3.97mm)

6+5 11/64(4.37mm) 3/16(4.76mm)

6+6 13/64(5.16mm) 7/32(5.56mm) 15/64(5.96mm)

8+7 1/4(6.35mm)

8+8 5/16(7.94mm)

10+10 3/8(9.53mm)

13+13 1/2(12.7mm)

Note: Brim are required for printing the sleeves.

I have also been informed that the holder need to be filed down to fit with the clear and yellow DeWalt cases.

You can check out my other prints at https://www.prusaprinters.org/social/76585-highrise-workshop/prints.
