My trusty tripod was missing a crucial component, so I took matters into my own hands and created one from scratch. After inspecting the existing mount, I discovered it only accommodated lenses with diameters ranging from 36mm to 44mm. To bridge this gap, I fabricated a custom 38mm mount that fits perfectly snugly. The new mount requires a 1/4-20 hex head bolt, precisely cut to 3/4 of its length, allowing for approximately four threads to securely engage. This ingenious setup enables me to attach my prized light ring and GoPro adapter combination with ease.
