Quick release shower adaptor

Quick release shower adaptor

We designed an adaptor for the input hose to fit perfectly with our Black and Decker washing machine. The machine comes equipped with a quick-release style connector that makes installing it in your sink a breeze, but we soon discovered that the backpressure caused our pipes under the sink to leak. To avoid this problem, I could have easily made a trip to the hardware store to purchase a repair kit, but why do that when you can simply print this adaptor and stay right at home? Print the adaptor using Cura with 100% infill at .1mm resolution and a brim with a 10-15 line count. To ensure a watertight seal, we sand the shower connection end flat with 80 grit sandpaper, then use 150 grit to flatten it out completely. This helps to prevent water from leaking in. We added a grip below the threads so that it can be screwed in tightly and avoid any leaks. UPDATE (10/4/2019): We re-uploaded V2 of this adaptor, an improved version with twice the grip area and a reinforcement inside the part which increases its strength significantly. UPDATE (5/4/2019): We re-uploaded V3 of this adaptor, extending and fattening the reinforcement inside the part which increases its strength even further. (We had one snap on us and it revealed a weak area, now reinforced!)
