Quick release plate for Cullmann Mundo Tripod
thingiverse
This high-strength release plate for Cullmann Mundo series tripods boasts enhanced screw enforcement, ensuring maximum stability even under heavy loads. My Sony A850, which tips the scales at a significant weight, is securely held by this plate, just as the original did. Additionally, it comes in at approximately 20g lighter than its predecessor. I've also designed a reinforced 1/4" tripod screw with added security measures. After further testing and validation, I'll be releasing this model as well. However, I want to ensure it meets my standards for sturdiness before making it available. Print Settings: Printer: Sintron Prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 30% Notes: To optimize stability, the top and bottom shell thickness should be increased to approximately 0.9mm. For optimal layer adhesion, print at a higher temperature with reduced fan speed. PETG is an excellent choice for this application due to its exceptional layer bonding capabilities. Post-Printing: Insert M3 (metric 3mm) nuts into the hexagonal holes at the bottom and secure them using 9mm long M3 countersink screws from the top. You'll need to shorten these screws, as 8mm ones are slightly too short, while 10mm ones are a tad too long – this can be frustrating. Custom Section: With my reinforced 1/4" tripod screw, you can enjoy added peace of mind when using your Cullmann Mundo series tripods.
