Quick Release J-head bowden carriage with LED Ring
thingiverse
I crafted this release for rapid installation, featuring a 60mm LED Ring and a standard bowden tube, along with a J-Head fitted with aluminium vanes. Having experienced a clogged nozzle, the quick removal of the entire tool expedited replacement part switching significantly. I have recently uploaded an enhanced iteration, hopefully resolving some teething issues encountered initially. One prevalent problem was the clip leg snapping, prompting the addition of a stop mechanism to prevent overbending and failure. I removed unnecessary space and integrated it onto the carriage, expanding air duct bores to ensure fan blades clearance. **Connection Pin-Out** The 8-pin connector is designated as follows: 1 - Head Heater Positive 2 - Head Heater Negative 3 - 12v Positive (LED ring and vane fan) 4 - 12v Negative (LED ring and vane fan) 5 - Fan Positive 6 - Fan Negative 7 - Head Thermistor 8 - Head Thermistor Both fans are standard 30mm squares. The LED ring is attached to the ring duct shelf using super glue. Required components include M3 Bolts, M3 Nylock Nuts, and Heat shrink tubing. The Bowden extruder and stepper motor are secured to the printer frame. A thing will be published for this as well, featuring a connector plug in the event a carriage with a stepper motor is required, similar to a paste extruder configuration.
