Quick release Anti Filament Unravel/tangle
thingiverse
A great spool holder design for the Flashforge Dreamer printer can be found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:948937. To build this spool holder, an M8 threaded rod was used along with a 20mm PVC pipe and an end cap that had a hole drilled into it for the spool bar. This quick release anti-tangle cum feeder was designed to be added on so that the filament wouldn't unspool during retraction or long travel moves made by the printer. The recommended print settings are as follows: * Printer: Flashforge Dreamer * Rafts: Not needed * Supports: None required * Resolution: 0.3mm * Infill: 50% Note that a higher infill percentage of 80% or more is suggested to prevent the part from snapping if it's handled roughly. To assemble the spool holder, two arm parts and one front part need to be printed. The front arm should have clearance of 80mm (wide) while the arms should have a diameter of 100mm to accommodate large spools. A cable tie can be used to secure the front arm in place by sliding it through a hole after sanding the area until it feels right. The design also includes holes for filament passage, and if a larger tube is needed, Teflon tubing can be cut to size and slid into place through an enlarged hole.
