Quick Release Adaptor

Quick Release Adaptor

I've got an old tripod that I have to screw things onto all the time. It's never been a big deal, but then I got a fancier tripod with a quick release adapter. Now it's essential, so I measured out the adapter size and made a little boot for it to do everything.\r\n\r\nTonight, I found eeejay's tripod quick release design in openscad which matches the type I needed exactly, so I used it as a starting point. I made a few adjustments to make it fit my needs:\r\n\r\n1. It fits my quick release adapters (I also attached an adapter)\r\n2. It uses M5 hardware.\r\n3. It's threaded to mount directly onto a tripod.\r\n\r\nIf you want to make changes, you can use the included .scad file. I'm using this thread library for the tripod thread.\r\n\r\nNote that the silver parts in the pictures are rough prints just to test the size, but they're good enough to use as is. I'll print higher quality ones and update the pictures later.
