Quick Print Faceshield
thingiverse
I was seeing too many designs that used excessive filament, were uncomfortable on the head, or lacked sufficient security. I had some spare time, so I created my own quick print face shield design. It can produce three shields on a 200x200mm platform in under two hours with conservative settings. The clear plastic shown is cut from a plastic clamshell packaging for a mirror, but you can use any transparent material like a transparency or a 2-liter bottle. Use a hole punch to create three holes spaced 2.75 inches apart (or a 3-hole punch set) and some rubber bands. The headband is flexible even with PLA, making it quite comfortable. Wrapping it with a paper towel makes it wearable all day. You can wear this shield with glasses and small N95 masks. This design will not prevent the spread of COVID-19 or germs. It serves as a personal reminder to avoid touching your face while completing essential tasks.
