Quick PIP Bearing for 5/8" Rod

Quick PIP Bearing for 5/8" Rod

thingiverse

This is a bearing for 5/8" threaded rod that serves as a placeholder, holding the rod in place while still allowing it to rotate smoothly without excessive friction. The design is less efficient than a ball bearing, but performs admirably (at least in my application). It prints directly into its final position. I printed this at .1mm layer thickness, 190C nozzle temperature and 60C bed temperature using PLA material at a speed of 40mm/s to minimize stringing, with 30% infill density, no supports and no brim. The central hole measures 21/32" in diameter, fitting snugly after printing on my Monoprice Maker Select. If anyone wishes to modify the design, I have included the Sketchup model.
