Quick klingon Trefoil relief
thingiverse
Update: I've Done a Quick Fix-Up by Replacing the Ring with a Tinkercad-Generated Torus, Which Should Give That Part a Smooth Appearance. A Sudden Relief of the Klingon Trefoil Appears Below. It's Yet to be Printed Out, However. I Tried to Polish it Up in Meshmixer, but All That Did was Make it More Winding. How I Put This Together Made Using 2D Image to STL Converter Tool First off, I typed out a trefoil using the klingon pIqaD font in Photoshop, then added outward gradient patterns, allowing for an accurate conversion of the image into a relief. (Converter Located [Here][http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:66115]) Getting It Right Would Probably Require Redesigning From Scratch – This Method Worked Out Sort of Alright But Was Too Harsh in the End and Didn't Translate Well – A Properly Crafted Image, Smoothened-Out Without Any Hitches or Bumps Should Produce More Reliable Results.
