Quick-Grip syringe adapters

Quick-Grip syringe adapters

thingiverse

A set of adapters to replace the static end of Irwin mini 6" and 12" Quick-Grips, and hold 32mm, 30mm, and 25mm diameter syringe barrels. Useful for extended higher-force application to syringes (filtering, extrusion, manual syringe pumping...). Adding a gas headspace or a spring between the syringe plunger and mobile (grip) end of the clamp can extend force application distance/time. To fit an adapter, unscrew and remove the fixed, non-travelling end of a Irwin Mini Quick-Grip clamp. Press the spring pin out of the adjacent hole in the clamp bar. Slide an adapter onto the bar in place of the fixed end and fit new retention screws through the two holes in the adapter and bar to secure. Nylon locking nuts work nicely to retain the screws. The 30-25mm adapter adapter is simply slid into the top of the 30mm adapter prior to fitting the syringe.Note: Fully extended 50ml syringes are easier to load onto 12" versus 6" Quick Grips.
