Introducing an improved version of Richrap's popular quick-fit X-carriage, this time with a reduced size! The fixation is now perpendicular to the X-axis, saving around 3cm on a 22x22 cm build plate. Check out the LM10UU version here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:24986. The new design is low profile, measuring 8.5 cm long alone and 9.7 cm with one fan. With two fans, it's 11 cm long. Stay updated for more revisions! Recent updates include removing old files (September 13th), revising files and prefixing them with R2 (June 19th), fixing the holder size and adding Sketchup files and ready-to-print STLs (June 8th). The latest update won 4 mm on length, reinforced the latch bearing holder, fixed the manifold, and ensured accurate distance between axes for push-fit linear bearings. It also added Quick-Fit supports for 40x40mm fan mounts with two heights and reinforced the plate. Following the original design, both parts print vertically and are joined together using 20 mm M3 bolts. Linear bearings slide in with press fit (no tie required, more testing is needed to confirm this method). The belt adjuster is on one side of the belt clamps, and you'll need two x M4 (13mm) 624 bearings for the Quick-Fit Lever. This quick-fit also features two "quick-fit" fan mounts!
