I really liked the mounting system but the existing laser mount didn't fit the laser I purchased, so I wanted something that could be easily removed. The plate is mounted to the laser permanently and slides onto the mount which stays on the fan. There's a slot for a nut and screw if extra stability is desired, but it feels fairly strong as is. As an inexperienced user, my print prioritizes function over form - it relies heavily on supports so the surfaces aren't perfectly clean. A remix could help tidy up the print. It's also crucial not to overtighten the plate on the laser, especially the top single bolt. A little play helps the assemblies slide together smoothly and still sit snugly. For best results, use the Cura Auto-Orientation plugin "fast-optimal".
