3 SUPPRESSOR DESIGNS IN THE BUNDLE NOW HEAR ME OUT GUYS, this is MUCH better than my previous quick detach design that you may have seen. This particular design has a quick detach functionality, which allows you to instantly shorten your replica for transport purposes. I will be posting more designs with the same system in the future, so you will be able to switch between different suppressors without a hassle. If you want something more out of your suppressor than just style points you can always fill it with acoustic foam. Right now I am also working on a drop-in tracer unit for my line of QD silencers. The predecessor required a custom compression spring, and I realize this is a bit of an issue for a lot of people who would like to print it. I thought about possible solutions to this problem, and I even have one prototype with a printed spring. Unfortunately it just refuses to work long term because of material creep. So, it seems like the metal spring is the way to go. However, I redesigned the whole mechanism so that it only requires 3 humble little clicker pen springs (4.5mm diameter). I bet each and every one of you already have 3 pens lying around your house. If you somehow don't, just go out and buy three cheapest clicker pens you can find. I believe this is as accessible as a quick detach suppressor can be made. To state the obvious, ideally those would be three identical pens to get the same spring parameters (diameter, length, springiness). If however, you cannot source 3 identical springs just make sure the diameters are the same. The rest can be more or less adjusted later. The diameter is the crucial part. I designed the suppressor to work with a 4.5 mm (0.177 inch) spring. I believe this is the most commonly found pen spring size. If however, your spring is slightly bigger or smaller (4-5 mm 0.157-0.196 inch), write a comment with the exact diameter you found. I will generate additional files and post them here.
