The Quick Connect Nipple facilitates swift assembly for flex tubes in hard-to-reach areas, such as on a jerry can where attaching a nut from inside isn't possible. To install, simply push the nipple through a hole and insert a rubber ring/gasket to prevent leaks. Secure with a nut or knob, which engages the buttress thread, pulling the nipple back and sealing against the barbs. Designed for wall/panel thickness up to 3mm (with additional 0.5mm allowed for the rubber seal ring), the hole diameter should be 12mm. The nut is intentionally separate from the nozzle, allowing for easy reuse by loosening and removing the nipple when needed. This innovative design features a buttress thread that's 3D printable without support material and can handle high axial loads.
