Quick Connect Fuel Line Tool
thingiverse
This tool enabled me to swiftly release the Fuel Rail from the Fuel Line on my Jeep Grand Cherokee. **Quick Start** I successfully utilized this approach to detach the Fuel Rail from the Fuel Line on my Jeep. There are alternatives available that use a modified pen cap or, conversely, you could simply purchase the eight-dollar specialized tool. This DIY solution was significantly more engaging and I'm hopeful that it will save someone time or money – or both. **Required Steps** I managed to accomplish this without requiring Fuel Line Pliers; instead, all I needed to do was apply a small amount of force to disengage the clamping tabs. **Technical Details** The outer diameter of the Fuel Line was 8.25 mm and the inner diameter of the coupling was 14.5 mm. In designing my tool, I took into account a .25 clearance. To utilize this solution, you will need to print two tools. **Tool Configuration** As demonstrated in the accompanying Gallery photo, this depicts the proper positioning of the tool's two halves after successfully disconnecting the Fuel Line from the Fuel Rail. **Safety Precautions and Warnings** Be certain to safely release pressure on the Fuel Rail prior to beginning work. Additionally, be aware that there may be an unexpectedly significant amount of fuel in the rail – ensure you have a safe method for disposing of it accordingly.
