A watertight brick housing can be sealed using screwdriver clips molded into the housing as one piece, along with a 5~8mm silicone gasket. This method is similar to a proven sump pump submerged control housing cover. A gasket face of approximately 3,000 sq mm with a density of 15 would require around 68 pounds of force to snap on the housing, which equates to 17 lbs per clip. These figures are for a full-face gasket, but it can be reduced if necessary to lower the required force. High-performance foams and adhesives/sealants are available at higher costs, offering increased performance if a lighter weight foam gasket is desired.
