The sliding top cover concept ensures efficient drawer closure, displaying any issues by speeding up the cover's descent. It also prevents package expansion into adjacent drawers. Two vital mechanisms are involved: a lever that controls lid movement and a release latch enabling disengagement for complete closure. As the drawer is halfway closed, the lid fully covers it; the lever stops pushing as the latch engages with a bracket, sliding back on the track. Upon reopening, the latch re-engages, resuming lever function.
