Quick Change Spool Holder for K8200 / 3Drag The quick change spool holder is designed specifically for K8200 / 3Drag printers but can also be adapted to fit other frame-style printers. To replace a spool, simply loosen one of the thumbscrews/knobs and move the pillar aside. Next, swap in a new spool and move the pillars together before retightening the knob. Keep in mind that this design requires a spool center. I used this particular one: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:360648, but other spools will also work just as well. The bottom part fits seamlessly onto the K8200 / 3Drag frame and secures an M5 square nut for the knob. The knob itself holds a long-lasting M5x40 hex bolt, which ensures a snug fit in place. Finally, the plug seals up any remaining holes, giving this spool holder its durable design. To secure the bottom part into the pillar, I recommend using two 5mm x 100mm woodscrews - although shorter screws might also get the job done just fine. The supplies you'll need include: - 2 M5x40mm hexbolts for a long-lasting fit - 2 5mm x 100mm woodscrews (shorter screws can work as well) to secure the bottom part - 2 M5 square nuts to keep your printer's frame steady - To mount the spool centre holder: * 2 M6x70mm bolts (choose the length that suits your chosen spool center) * 3 M6 washers for additional support * 1 M6 self-locking nut Instructions: Print the pillar and profile with the settings flipped, making sure they are laid out correctly. When it comes to printing, don't skimp on the infill. Ensure it's set to at least 15-20%.
