This spool was heavily inspired by a design found on Thingiverse: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:13395. It was created to be used with another product from the same website: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:235925, as well as one available on Youmagine: https://www.youmagine.com/designs/low-friction-um2-spoolholder. Caps are designed to fit tightly, and if you get an "elephant's foot" effect on your main spool print, you'll need to clean up before the cap will go in place easily. The holder fits about one pound of loose filament quite well, and it might be worth creating a version that is adjustable in the future.
