This is a versatile hub that can rapidly change spools. The hole of the spool was designed to accommodate sizes ranging from 50 mm to 60 mm. Spool thicknesses up to 90 mm are easily supported. A flexible leaf spring can expand and contract to fit various spools, offering added adaptability. Crafted from a PET resin wine bottle, the leaf spring measures 90 mm in width and 45 mm in length. The central pipe is constructed of PV 25 A PVC material and measures 95 mm in length. Each 3D printer can be tailored with adjustable lengths to suit its specific needs. The center shaft features an M8 screw rod for added durability. This shaft was attached to the JG AURORA A3, providing a solid foundation for the assembly. Ball bearings were installed on both sides of the center shaft for smooth operation. Utilizing 608ZZ ball bearings ensures optimal performance and minimal friction. M8 nuts that secure the ball bearings are utilized in this design. Thanks go out to SirFarthingtonSmythe for their contribution at Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2319855).
