This is a simple spool holder redesign. I took inspiration from a remix of another coil holder designed by KitWasHere, which in turn was adapted from Murat's original design. The pictures showcased here are courtesy of KitWasHere and highlight his modification of shorter arms that work perfectly for smaller coils. The larger coils from Faberdashery proved to be too big for the original spool holder, so I extended the hooks to accommodate them seamlessly. Furthermore, an adapter was designed to fit the modified spool holder on my Kossel Mini. The use of this adapter is entirely optional; however, I found it beneficial as the new hooks sometimes caught onto other printer components. This revised design greatly reduces coil tangles and re-spooling frustrations. Instructions: Print the main hub (spoolMain), 2 spool caps, and 3 long extended hooks. To assemble, use three M3 hex bolts (18/20mm) in conjunction with three M3 Nylock nuts to securely attach the hooks to the central hub. Remember not to overtighten as the components should remain movable for easy coil changes. A medium-sized elastic band needs to be placed across the 3 slots for optimal support. Additionally, printing an adapter is recommended if necessary. I personally found the hooks catching onto printer components necessitated the use of the offset adapter to secure the spool on my spool holder effectively.
