This is a sub-carriage that rides on X-Rods below the regular carriage that holds the hot end. The main advantage of using this part is that the carriage can be easily swapped out without disturbing the bearings or X-Rods. To assemble this part, print it out and then remove the original carriage from your printer. Reassemble the printer with this sub-carriage mounted on the bearings and X-Rods. You will need long 4mm (20mm) screws, 4mm nuts, and thumb nuts to complete the assembly. When changing carriages for a different hot end, move the Z sensor and the X-switch to the new carriage and then mount it on top of this sub-carriage using the thumb nuts. There are slots available for the X-switch and BLTouch. I designed this sub-carriage so that I could quickly experiment with various hot ends, carriages, probe arrangements, and possibly laser engraving without having to do major disassembly.
