Quick Box Fang for Stock CR-10 for 40mm Blower fan
thingiverse
This is a quick little design I haven't tested yet, but it's ready to roll. I designed it specifically to fit onto the existing stock CR-10 hotend metal shroud without any modifications needed. Simply remove the filament side fan, keep its screws and add a JST connector. Then, attach your 40mm x 40mm x 20mm Blower fan and get rid of the two shroud mount screws. Now, just slide on this quick box fan and use the four side fan screws to mount it securely to the shroud. Finally, attach the shroud to the hotend mount plate with those same two screws. It's done! Let me know your preferred method for printing this design as the walls are incredibly thin, ranging from 3mm to 1mm in thickness. This will make it challenging to print, especially if you're using any support material that would get stuck in the wind chambers. Removing supports from such a tight space can be frustrating. The tolerances are also quite tight, but I'm confident it should still work out fine.
