This is a (relatively) quick and easy gift tag that you can add to your Christmas gifts this year to add that special spark. ✞ Merry Christmas ✞ BE SURE TO CHECK OUT MY OTHER CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS - *Nativity Christmas Ornament *Large Scale Multi Piece Snowman *Noel Holiday Candle Train *Quick and Easy Gift Tags *Christmas Tree Stand Stabilizer *Cindy Lou Who Print Settings Printer: Tevo Tarantula Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 10% Notes: This goes without saying, but... print the holly leaves in green, the berries in red, and the tag itself in white. Or, be a rebel and create your own color scheme! The print layer**must** be set to 0.2mm or less for this to print correctly. If you use Cura as your slicer, I highly recommend that you enable the [ Ironing ] feature. This adds a little bit of time to the print process, but it makes the top surface perfectly smooth. Doing this allows you to write on the tag with a Sharpie without the ink bleeding between the lines, as you can see. I tried one without ironing and the letters looked like they were in a cartoon rush! Post-Printing I purposely modeled this so that the holly leaves and the berries can be positioned anywhere as opposed to having a preset indented, location. The quickest way to assemble these is with hot glue. The leaves are fragile at the point where they intersect, so be gentle until mounted. Be sure that the leaves are mounted with the stem line facing up. The berries will only properly fit one way into the leaves. Note the rotation before gluing. Place one small dot of hot glue on the tag and then gently press the leaves and the berries onto that drop. Any excess glue can be pulled off easily once it's cooled. Trying to clean it up while it's still hot will only create a mess! How I Designed This I am still trying to get a grip on blender, so this model was a mashup. I could not figure out how to create the freehand shape needed for the leaf in blender, so I modeled that in Sketchup and then imported that into blender. From there, the rest of the model was done in blender. Category: Other
