Human: (Update 2/24/2019: Improved alignment of clips on pad; three files changed to version 1a)\r\n(Update 2/25/2019: Added short version with rounded ends to enhance appearance)\r\n(Update 2/25/2019: Added strengthened version without dovetail mount)\r\n(Update 2/25/2019: Updated screw and button, reducing chance of button splitting under high load)\r\n\r\nThis g-clamp features a locking lever for quick adjustment of position. It includes an integrated dovetail mount allowing you to attach items to bookshelves and tables, such as my Pac-Man themed headphone stand:\r\nhttps://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3450967\r\n\r\nThe clamp prints without supports and snaps together seamlessly. There are 45 degree overhangs and some bridging involved; if your printer struggles with bridging, consider using supports on the "lever" part.\r\n\r\nTo ensure stiffness, I recommend printing with at least three perimeters and a fair amount of infill.\r\n\r\nThis design can be scaled up or down in size over an extensive range.\r\n\r\nA short version of the clamp is available, which doesn't extend as far onto the surface you're attaching it to. There's also a "no mount" version without the dovetail mount, ideal for use as just a clamp; this has a larger corner radius reducing stress at the corners and making it significantly stronger.\r\n\r\nFollow the video guide for assembly:\r\nhttps://youtu.be/DiqC5PKDQAA\r\n\r\nA hole runs through the middle of the dovetail mount, offering the option to use a long M3 screw to secure items in place.\r\n\r\nI've included a model of the dovetail mount and the corresponding socket; you can graft it onto other models. The socket should print without supports in multiple orientations, provided you can handle some bridging and overhangs.\r\n\r\nI never charge for my models and don't expect tips, but posting your makes is greatly appreciated as it encourages me to continue creating.
