I designed a fusion of Playstation Move controllers and Oculus Quest controllers, with a focus on replicating the immersive BeatSaber experience provided by the former. The result is a set of custom handles that seamlessly integrate with my Oculus Quest, eliminating the need for separate accessories. While there are already existing handle designs available, none met my exacting standards, often being too bulky or overly complicated, lacking safety straps, or featuring subpar STL files that resulted in broken prints. This project marked my first foray into designing threads using Tinkercad, so I'm aware that the ISO measurements may be slightly off, requiring adjustments to accommodate tolerances in future designs. To ensure a smooth assembly process, I employed a M18 screw tap for the handle's construction, although this approach may also depend on factors like printer flow rate and material properties.
